It is position critical for the candidate to possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. This attentive, forward-thinking team player will provide clear direction, strong leadership & coaching skills for YMCA operations and service delivery, including membership, marketing, public relations, child care, programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development. Six or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency. Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of budget, marketing and public relations, and program development. Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders. Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations. Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations. YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred. Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications may be required. Essential Functions Recruits, hires, trains, develops, supervises, and evaluates the staff directors. Provides administrative direction to membership coordinator in human resource matters for membership staff. Oversee development of and implement, monitor and achieve association operating budgets. Lead the control of expenditures and production of income in line within the approved budgets. Take appropriate action to insure acceptable financial operating results. Responsible for management and implementation of marketing, advertising and public relations internally and externally. Manages effective, consistent and timely marketing efforts and production schedules. Recruits, selects and manages firms and/or contracted service vendors for organization's website/social media, graphic layout/design, marketing and public relations. Works directly with assigned committee(s) of the board to build volunteer relationships, recommend policies, oversee policy implementation and meet the related needs of the board. Directs the program volunteer activities of the YMCA. Recommend, monitor, implement and evaluate program objectives and plans consistent with strategic objectives of the association. Ensure that programs are managed with a high level of competence and that services are responsive to the needs of the community. Work with volunteer leadership and staff to ensure the proper care and maintenance of properties and equipment, both short and long term. Ensure the cleanliness, safety and operational condition of facilities, equipment and grounds to assure high standards. Develop annual capital improvement plan and assist in management and control of projects, including associated costs management. Assists with and provides leadership to the financial development activities of the YMCA. Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area. Participates in strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of the YMCA to support the strategic plan. Maintain accurate records for control, evaluation, and reporting for the association when applicable. Develops and directs high quality member engagement strategies and programs which support Association mission, goals, and strategies and ensures all programs meet all regulations and certifications as they apply. Serves as a member of the YMCA senior leadership team and support the overall objectives of the YMCA. Attends staff meetings and trainings. Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes reports as necessary. Execute other duties and responsibilities requested by the President.
