With a $10 million annual operating budget, The Ozarks Regional YMCA serves more than 22,000 individuals through eight membership facilities, 35+ Before/After School sites, and Camp Wakonda. The incumbent will exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the YMCA. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in business, finance, or equivalent; MBA, CPA or CMA preferred 7 + years of experience in accounting and financial management Knowledge and understanding of general business matters required, including, but not limited to: budget development, financial reporting, cash management, business taxes, banking and debt financing instruments Experience in effectively managing a staff team, and ability to foster a collaborative team approach to solving challenging situations. Essential Functions Develops performance indicators and measurement systems for tracking strategic plan objectives. Evaluates current business models and leads efforts to modify or redesign business models where necessary. Advises and counsels the CEO, center executives, department heads and the various standing committees of the Board on all fiscal matters to ensure proper execution of their duties. Manages the staff and oversees the operations of the accounting/finance, and information systems departments. Monitors monthly financial operations, prepares analysis and reports, and gives guidance to executive and operating staff. Works closely with operations staff on issues that affect financial outcome. Manage accounting systems for property and equipment, endowment, investments,restricted funds and others as required. Reviews, updates, and/or develops internal control systems for the YMCA and oversees all internal audits and ensures current accounting standards and legal requirements are met. Manages investments, under the direction of the Board of Directors and Finance Committee, and within the risk tolerance set by the board. Manage computer hardware and software including purchasing of systems, networkmaintenance and development, review installation of software packages, training and supervision of IS personnel and staff liaison to IS consultants, as well as overseeing the safeguarding of information system assets.
