Responsibilities: Overview: Equal Opportunity Employer The St. Louis Contact Center currently has an opening for a Full-Time Accountant. This position will support Accounting clerks and supervisors of various Shared Services departments including Cash Applications, Government, Rewards and Corporate Accounts teams. The role primarily deals with the accounting aspect of direct payment posting and accounts receivable research and provides the opportunity to work closely with our Accounting teams, as well as field employees. Our ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to consistently meet deadlines while producing accurate results. We are looking for extremely reliable individuals who can adapt to change, absorb and apply new information, and who have the determination to learn detailed processes. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, with a start time between 6:45-8am, and will consist of 40 hours per week. The starting salary for this position is $20.77 - $29.81/hour, dependent upon experience. Responsibilities: Coordinate accounting entries for the teamReview daily bank activities for account deposits and complete the proper entry to distribute this moneyReconcile, review and research monthly account schedules and coordinate the disposition of all itemsSubmit AR Item Updates and Journal Entries in PeopleSoftResearch and resolve credits and other balances on various account schedulesAssist in research of unidentified paymentsAssist in special projects as requestedReview check requests to insure accuracy Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of ageMust be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the futureBachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance requiredIntermediatelevel of experienceusing MicrosoftExcelrequired (advanced level preferred)Basic level of experience using Microsoft Word and Access requiredPrevious accounting, billing, or A/R experience preferredWorking knowledge of PeopleSoft accounting software preferredMust be ableto work a Monday-Friday schedule, with start times between 6:45a-8aMust be able to work Overtime as neededQualified candidates should also possess the following: Ability to multi-task with high quality resultsQuick learner with excellent problem solving and reasoning skillsStrong time management skills and work ethicStrong organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines as designatedTeam player with a positive attitudeAbility to work with minimal supervisionExcellent customer service skillsDetail orientedStrong communication skillsAbility to analyze and interpret data to make sound business decisions
