Brief Description of Duties: The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for producing the campus´ financial plan revenue reports, produce the "all-funds" contractual salary increase reports and project coordinator for the Finance and budget initiatives. The successful incumbent should have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and should have the ability to identify key issues and use inductive reasoning in complex situations (to be accessed at the interview). The selected candidate will need to have excellent analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze and evaluate complex data. They will have strong customer service orientation. They must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities: Produce the Campus Financial Plan Revenue Reports: Three times a year the campus is required to report the anticipated financial plan revenue associated with the State offset funding as well as its overflow revenue. This involves: • Working with the academic VP areas to obtain projected SUTRA, OAP and Summer Session activity. • Running queries from the data warehouse to obtain headcount, credit hours, and projected revenue by cohort for the applicable sub-set of students. The incumbent is responsible for following up with the Accounting and Student Accounts offices on discrepancies. • Preparing comparative historical analysis for trending and forecasting. • Working with the Accounting and Student Accounts Offices to obtain accounts receivable balances, collection fund balances, write-offs, non-reimbursable waiver data, fees & fines revenue, etc. • Projecting college fee revenue, interest revenue and dorm overhead revenue. • Responsible for generating the monthly financial plan revenue projections as well as the income offset projection. • Responsible for generating the VP revenue sharing reports and ensuring correct disbursement of funds. This includes: Graduate revenue sharing initiative; Southampton revenue sharing initiative; Create a local database of values that can be used for historical projections and analyses.

Produce the “All-Funds” Contractual Salary Increase (CSI) Reports: • Prepare reports detailing the individual contractual salary increases received by every individual in all appropriated accounts (e.g., State, Hospital, IFR, Veteran´s Home, Dormitory). The reports should validate, compute and summarize the fiscal and annual values of all increases with summary roll-ups. • Analyze the ratified union contracts to create the schedule of increases and plan the timing of the reports for the fiscal year. • Prepare projected costs associated with each upcoming contractual increase of the new year; this information will be used to secure funding from SUNY. • All discrepancies between the payroll files and the CSI data must be resolved before distributing the reports.
